Workshop #1: Engaging Members through Social Media by Anthony Marco (OSSTF)
Anthony Marco is a highschool teacher in the Hamilton/Wentworth area. Anthony co-founded dyscultured.com, a website devoted to "dysfunctional" Canadian culture that includes a live podcast every week. He believes that social media, including Facebook, Twitter, blogging, etc., is an excellent and still untapped resource that unions can use to engage its Members.
In this fun and creative workshop, Anthony will show us how social media can provide positive results for your membership and how it takes as little as 5-10 minutes a day, just 2-3 times per week, to keep them interested and active online.
