Workshop: The Bargaining Table: a Ministry of Labour perspective

What role(s) does the Ministry of Labour play at the Bargaining Table? This workshop is designed to look at relationships at the Bargaining Table. How do we deal with conflict at the Table? What are some approaches to problem-solving the major issues? What kinds of mediation services are available?

A representative from the Ministry of Labour will be in attendance to deliver a workshop on how to be productive at the Bargaining Table and talk about the services that the Ministry provides as well.

 

Workshop: State of Public Sector Bargaining in Ontario

The Ontario Public Sector Wage Restraint legislation is about to end in April 2012. What happens now for non-unionized groups? How will the resistance on the legislation from unionized groups impact wage rates going forward?

The lockout from Caterpillar is making major headlines across the country with the employer demanding massive cuts to wages, benefits and pensions. How could this dispute impact employers in the public sector?

Join us for discussion with Mr. Donald Chiro, a HR consultant for Associum Consultants, and a part time instructor at Wilfrid Laurier University.  Donald specializes in Labour Relations, Organizational Development and Pay Equity in the non-profit and not for profit sectors.

 

Workshop: Arbitration Simulation
